At PAND, we believe that no one becomes successful without lots of hard work and support from others and we all have a responsibility to give back to the community. Giving back creates a virtuous cycle that makes everyone more successful. Success isn’t just about what you accomplish in your life. It’s about what you inspire others to do. The main goal of our Mentorship program is to connect internationally trained individuals (MENTEES) with local professionals (MENTORS) to support immigrant job seekers better understand the Canadian workplace and connect with employment in their field faster and more effectively. We offer various types of mentoring including One-on-One; Peer to Peer; E-Mentoring as well as Group Mentorship, through either of these programs Mentors provide newcomers with a better understanding of the current job market in their field or occupation; help them find valuable networking contacts, and provide support and guidance to Internationally Trained Professional in their specific sectors to learn more about sector-specific requirements and professional practice in Canada. When the mentor and mentee agree to participate, they negotiate an agreement (Mentor-Mentee Agreement) to ensure an understanding of the program outcomes for both parties participants are requested to spend several hours a month on mentoring activities over a 4 to 6 month period

Based on the information you provide on your registration form; wewill match you with a newcomer who shares your professional background
A mentoring coordinator will be in touch when we have found a potential “mentee” for you.
If you agree with the match we have suggested, you’ll take part in an orientation session to get started in the program.

A mentoring coordinator will assess whether you are eligible for the program.
Based on the information you provide, we will look for a mentor who is the best match for you.
If you accept your mentor, you will start taking part in meetings with your mentor.
